Existing in a context of oppression and exploitation is the core of ‘Dance of Fights’. A space to explore the common roots underlying distant, yet connected struggles (thinking about capitalism, colonialism, patriarchy, militarism and more).
The title encapsulates the essence of the event.
‘Fight’ refers both to internal and external tension. Inevitably, living in a world that hinders humanity creates contradictory feelings and emotions.
‘Dance’ alludes to the aesthetic and emotional journey of the event. What type of journey? A sneak-peak into your own internal landscape and your personal proactive path.
‘Dance of Fights’ opens a new space for art, cultural exchange, debate and community building. A platform for artists who can’t access conventional cultural spaces; either because they’re part of a minority, emerging or censored.
This event is donation-based. Getting a ticket in advance will help support the project, since it’s realised through community effort, mainly based on volunteer work.
You will also be able to donate a different amount at the door, or directly support the artists. The donations will first cover the costs of the event; the remaining part will contribute to a Gaza-related charity. Tickets will be available at the door until maximum capacity is reached.
