We are looking for an experienced Event Producer to join our team!
KABUL à GoGo and Gietijzer are the two sides of our multi-room event space in Utrecht. KABUL is oriented to alternative electronic dance and cultural events in two spaces for 100 to 450 visitors. Gietijzer is managing our big spaces that hosts mainly big events for external organisers, outside our curated program, between 2000 and 4000 guests.

Contract: 12 months to start (dates to be discussed). This opening is available for project-based freelancers (ZZP), but only if your situation fully meets the requirements of the DBA law.
Start: As soon as possible, or by early February
Hours: 12–24 hours per week, depending on the season. (If ZZP: project-based per event)

What will you be doing? 💻
* Produce events together with three other producers.
* Your main focus will be Gietijzer and events between 1000 and 4000 visitors.
* Be the main contact for external organisers and guide them through the full production process.
* Make sure events stay on schedule and meet safety, technical, and contractual requirements.
* Advise organisers on safety, fire safety, and technical setups, and step in when needed.
* Brief staff and floor managers before each event.
* Act as floor manager during selected events, keeping things running smoothly on the night.
* Close events with a clear financial overview, including all costs and expenses.
Who are you? 🦸♀️
* You have 3+ years of experience in a similar production role, or 5+ years of experience in a similar role outside event production.
* You have strong leadership skills with diverse teams across multiple disciplines.
* You can work independently and have experience being ultimately responsible for operational processes.
* You have hands-on experience with events or festivals of 2,000+ visitors.
* Strong specialist knowledge of safety and fire safety regulations is a plus.
* Experience with the application and approval process of municipal event licences is a plus.
* You have a strong connection to electronic music and nightlife culture, but enjoy working with a broad range of events: From a literature festival, to a business dinner.
* You stay calm under pressure and are proactive.
* Fluent English is a hard requirement. Fluent Dutch is a strong plus.
* You have or are willing to get SHV, BHV, or fork lift certification
* Living in or near Utrecht is a must.
